Conventional acne treatment has being used by almost everyone and many of them have little or no effect. People have tried various types of cleansers, TV products, home remedies and prescription drugs. It can be very frustrating to deal with failed acne treatment, side effects and even non-effective topical antibiotics that just don’t work.
Acne it is the most common skin condition that involve overactive sebaceous glands of the skin. It affects approximately 80% of adolescents and many adults. Acne occurs when oil produced by the sebaceous glands is trapped inside the pores or follicles of the skin. Obstructed pores cause an inflammatory response where pustules are formed inside the pores by a bacteria on the skin and process create pimples. The bacteria that cause acne are called Propionibacterium acne. It thrives in the clogged follicles. The inflammatory process also causes blackheads and whiteheads to form from. Blackheads occur when the pores are opened on the skin surface and become darkened. The causes of acne are a result of excess androgen but may be multi-factorial in relation to environmental exposure, heredity, and nutrition.
The conventional treatments for acne are available in topical treatments which normally slow in resolving the condition and very irritating to the skin. Oral therapies such as antibiotics are frequently associated with bacterial resistance and aide effects because they are harsh on the stomach. Oral isotretinoins produce severe side effects including hypertrophic scarring and cannot be used in conjunction with many other acne therapies. Hormone replacement therapy is an option for females but it is not an appropriate choice in some cases.
One of the best acne treatments that have shown excellent results is laser light energy therapies. This is possible because of the porphyrins that are naturally produced by Propionibacterium acnes. The therapy has shown to decrease inflammatory acne lesions. The use of laser light energies (Aerolase NEO) reduces inflammatory acne 85% in as little as (4) treatments. In treating acne, reduce the bacterial load of inflammatory lesions using laser light energies as well as long-term shrinkage of the sebaceous glands the reason for acnes using lasers.
